2020 Charity Info
In response to our 2020 event cancellation, we worked with our partners in the area to solicit recommendations about how your donation may help the community and organizations that host the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. These organizations have close ties to our event. We hope you’ll help support them during this challenging time.
Sport Oregon:
Since 2019 The Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon has been owned and produced by Sport Oregon, a non-profit organization dedicated to positively impacting Oregon’s economy and quality of life through sports based tourism. Sport Oregon carries the torch of the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon to further that mission by bringing the healthy impacts of sports based tourism beyond the Portland Metro region, and to help generate the revenue needed to sustain the community impact programming and initiatives that run through the Sport Oregon Foundation. Donations to Sport Oregon will ensure we have a healthy event budget for the 2021 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. To learn more or make a direct donation to Sport Oregon visit their website.
Yamhill Carlton Together Cares:
Yamhill Carlton Together Cares is a non-profit organization founded to serve critical youth and family needs in the greater Carlton and Yamhill area. YCTC provides a robust youth sports program, youth work experience program, preschool program, and summer care program for local residents. The Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon annually partners with YCTC on a volunteer share program to support the YCTC mission financially and in spirit. YCTC provides the friendly volunteer faces you see at packet pick up, aid stations, and the finish line. Donations to YCTC will directly impact the local communities of Carlton and Yamhill that so graciously host the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. Yamhill Carlton Storehouse:
Yamhill Carlton Storehouse, sponsored by Carlton’s Walk in the Park, is a nonprofit organization providing food and other critical needs such as personal hygiene items and warm blankets to individuals and families in need in the Yamhill-Carlton region. This is an all-volunteer run food storehouse that is committed to a policy of non-discrimination. Donations to the Yamhill Carlton Storehouse will directly impact the local communities of Carlton and Yamhill that so graciously host the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. Share the Bounty Charity Project:
Share the Bounty is a new charity project sponsored by the Yamhill Enrichment Society and the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association to help provide meals to hospitality workers in Yamhill county displaced by the impacts of Covid-19. Donations to Share the Bounty will support staff, friends, and family of many of our favorite wineries who support the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon.
