Post-Race Festival
The post-race Wine and Music Festival is a unique highlight of the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon experience once we return to our in-person event! Get a taste (or two) of Oregon’s world-class wine country right at the finish line. Also enjoy live music by popular local artists; additional beer and kombucha, food, and merchandise vendors; and the festive atmosphere of downtown Independence with your friends, family, and running community!
Festival FAQ’S
Can spectators attend the wine and music festival?
The festival is open to the public, but in order to participate in wine tastings, spectators will need to have a guest tumbler or glass. Guest tumblers/glasses can be pre-purchased online for $15-25. Glasses will also be sold on site at the festival while supplies last. Minors are welcome to attend the festival. All attendees must pass through an ID check and receive a 21+ wristband in order to be served by any alcohol vendor.
Is there seating and/or covered space?
There is limited tent coverage and table seating available on a first-come-first-served basis. Many participants also choose to sit on the grass lawn near the live music stage. We encourage all participants to bring a lawn blanket and secure a spot within our festival area to celebrate and sip their wine!
Is there food available?
Race participants will have access to light recovery snacks as they finish their race. There will also be additional food vendors onsite.
WILL there BE ENTERTAINMENT?
Yes! We are actively seeking local musicians for both the course and the festival. If you or someone you know is interested, please reach out to kapugaison@gmail.com.
I finished my race before 9:00am. What can I do until the festival starts?
The recovery tent, medical tent and several vendors, will be open immediately following the first race finish.
