If the current race price has increased from the amount paid at time of original purchase, the recipient will be need to pay the difference in addition to the $1.95 transfer fee+ applicable processing fees & taxes.

Unfortunately, no bib transfers are available on race day. We hope you’ll still come to enjoy the top-notch pinot noir and atmosphere at our Wine and Music Festival in Downtown Independence.

What is the 2-Person Relay? How do I register?

The 2-Person Relay team allows two runners to split the 13.1-mile distance. The first section of the course is 6.1 miles and the second is 7.0 miles. Your 2-person team must be able to complete the 13.1-mile course in 3 hr 30 min. Leg 1 starts at the main half marathon starting line and finishes at the relay exchange point. Leg 2 starts at the relay exchange point, and ends at the main half marathon finish line. Shuttle transportation will transport runner 2 from the main half marathon starting line to the relay exchange, and will also transport runner 1 from the relay exchange to the main half marathon finish line. Any combination of genders and ages may compete together as a relay team. Relay teams will be scored in All Male, All Female, or Co-ed divisions. The 2-Person Relay team is registered in a single transaction. The person registering the 2-Person Relay team will need to be prepared with their partner’s full name, address, phone, number, email address, birth date, emergency contact name and number, & shirt size.

What is a Half Marathon Team entry? How do I register as part of a team?

The Half Marathon Team registration option is for teams that would like to participate in the team scoring competition. Teams that have 6 or more members complete the half marathon individually will be eligible for a “team score.” To calculate the team score, we’ll take the top 6 half marathon times completed by your team members, and apply a standard USATF age/gender grading system to determine a final score. The top highest scoring team will receive awards. Teams representing a participating winery will also be entered into the Winery Cup Challenge for local bragging rights as fastest winery in the region! To set up a scoring half marathon team, first have a team captain register using the Create a Team option. After the team has been created, all other team members can individually register for the team by using the Join Your Team option. You must know your official Team Name in order to join your team.

A team must have a minimum of 6 runners finish the half marathon as individuals to qualify as a “scoring team”. Any combination of genders and ages may compete together as a team. Beyond your 6 scoring half marathon runners, your team may include any combination of half marathon runners, relay runners, or 5k runners and walkers there to sport your team spirit and pride! We encourage corporate groups, running clubs, and wineries to have a big team presence across all of the sub-events… We’ll also honor our largest team (including any combination of half marathon runners, relay runners, or 5k runners and walkers) and our team with the most spirit on course! We offer special perks for signing up large groups, even if your group is split across different sub events. If you are a 2-Person Relay Team or 5k participant that is affiliated with a corporate team, running club team, or winery team, register using the standard 2-Person Relay or 5k registration option, and just provide your team name in the registration question about team affiliation. While you won’t be scoring points for the team score, your registration will count towards helping your team score extra perks for more affiliated members. Potential running club teams, corporate teams, or winery teams can contact us at kapugaison@gmail.com for more info.

Where should runners park on race day?

Free parking is available at the Independence Dog Park (54 Grand St, Independence, OR 97351). The parking team will direct you from there to the field to the south.
