Following 10 successful years in Yamhill County, the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon began a new chapter in Independence, Oregon in 2022. While a new course debuted, runners got more of what they loved about the previous race route including scenic natural areas, small-town charm, and stunning views.
It wouldn’t be the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon without the event’s signature post-race celebration, and we were thrilled to bring back the joyous in-person wine and music festival following the race once again.
Locally owned and operated, we are committed to conducting a first-class event — one that fully engages and positively impacts the local community. Now a signature annual event on the Oregon summer running calendar, the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon is quite simply one of the most scenic, rewarding and runner-friendly races in the nation. Be part of the excitement and make a difference in our community by volunteering with the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon! Volunteers are instrumental in the success of our race, but they also support the festival and the neighboring community.
Our volunteer needs range from course flagging to aid station support, but we have a role for everybody. Thank you for interest in volunteering and spending part of your Labor Day Weekend in wine country with us.
